Cookie Policy
Effective date

What this policy covers
This Cookie Policy explains how Nakama may use cookies, local storage, session storage, extension storage, pixels, and similar technologies on orenonakama.com, in the Nakama web app, and in the Nakama Chrome extension.
Current website status
The current local marketing website is intentionally simple and does not require advertising cookies. It may use only essential browser storage if needed for security, routing, language choice, consent records, or app functionality. If analytics, payments, support chat, or advertising tools are added later, this policy should be updated before those tools are enabled.
Cookie categories
Nakama groups cookies and similar technologies into the following categories.
- Essential: required for sign-in, security, routing, session integrity, consent records, and core service functionality.
- Functional: remembers preferences such as language, workspace, UI settings, model/provider choices, and product defaults.
- Analytics: helps us understand aggregate product usage and reliability so we can improve Nakama. Analytics should avoid raw email bodies and use privacy-conscious metadata where possible.
- Marketing: may measure campaigns or referrals if enabled later. Nakama does not currently need marketing cookies for the local prototype.
Examples of first-party storage
The names below are examples and may change as the implementation evolves.
- nakama_locale: remembers the selected language or locale route.
- nakama_cookie_consent: stores cookie consent choices.
- nakama_session: keeps a signed-in session active if the production app uses web sessions.
- nakama_oauth_state: protects OAuth redirect and sign-in flows.
- nakama_workspace: remembers the last selected workspace.
- nakama_extension_settings: stores Chrome extension preferences such as tone, language, and model defaults.
Chrome extension storage
The Chrome extension may use Chrome storage APIs to remember user preferences, extension state, workspace selection, provider settings, and local prototype configuration. Extension storage is different from website cookies, but we describe it here because it plays a similar role in the product experience.
Third-party technologies
Nakama may use third-party providers for Google sign-in, hosting, monitoring, analytics, AI processing, payments, customer support, and security. These providers may set their own cookies or use similar technologies when their services are loaded. We should disclose specific providers here before enabling them in production.
Managing cookies
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. You can also remove local site data for orenonakama.com in your browser. If a cookie settings panel is added, you will be able to change non-essential cookie choices there. Blocking essential cookies may prevent sign-in or core app features from working.
Withdrawing consent
Where consent is required, you can withdraw consent for non-essential cookies. Withdrawal does not affect processing that happened before consent was withdrawn.
Google permissions
Cookies are separate from Google OAuth permissions. To revoke Google access granted to Nakama, use your Google Account permissions page.
Changes
We may update this Cookie Policy as Nakama adds production hosting, analytics, billing, support, or app functionality. The effective date above reflects the latest version.
